Bonsell, formerly of Tyrone and for the past year a resident of the Mayo Nursing Home, Somerton, Philadelphia, died Saturday at 1:15. P.M. at St. Mary's Hospital, Langhorne, after a lengthy illness. He was born Oct. 15, 1889, at Spruce Creek, a son of Leonard and Margaret (Love) Bonsell. On June 20, 1908, he was married to Mabel Alley. They had been married for 70 years. He is survived by his wife, at the Mayo Nursing Home, one daughter, Mrs. Norman (Nellie) Miller, of Levittown, two grandsons and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, four brothers and two sisters. He was the last of his immediate family. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Elks Lodge 212, the Moose Lodge and the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen. He had been an engineer for the Pennsylvania Railroad, retiring in February, 1955, after 50 years service. Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2:15 P.M. at the Derman Funeral Home, with the Reverend Fred O. Dickerson officiating. Interment will be at Eastlawn Cemetery, Tyrone, Pa. Friends will be received at the funeral home Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Tyrone Daily Herald, January 22, 1979
