He was born Feb. 6, 1877 at Spruce Creek, Huntingdon County, the son of George and Delilah (Miller) Bonsell. In June of 1897, at Spruce Creek, he was married to Carrie Belle Moffit. He had resided in the Tyrone area most of his life. Surviving are the widow and the following. children: Mrs. Edna Cox, Albert, and Mrs. Helen Miller, all of Tyrone; Mrs. Mary McKelvey, Robert, and Mrs. Ruth Burdett, all of Chambersburg. Four children preceded him in death. Also surviving are 25 grandchildren, and 37 great grandchildren. He was the last of his immediate family. He was a member of the Blazing Arrow Hook and Ladder Fire Company, Tyrone, and was an employee of the Pennsylvania Railroad Company as a work equipment engineer, retiring in 1942 after 48 years of service.
