Miss Bonsell became ill last Monday morning and her condition immediately grew quite serious. She was a young lady of splendid attainments and was held in high esteem by a large circle of friends. She was a devoted member of the Presbyterian church of Spruce Creek, and was quite active in the Master's Work. She was one of the efficient teachers in the Sunday School and a member of the Young People's Christian Endeavor society. Her passing away will be keenly felt not only in the home, but the entire community. Margaret Gertrude Bonsell was a daughter of John Phillip and Effie May (Chilcote) Bonsell. She was born in Altoona on January 25, 1897, and resided there for over eleven years. The balance of her young life was spent in Spruce Creek. Surviving to mourn her death are her parents and the following brothers and sisters: Carl, May, Alma, John, Raymond, Merrill, Dorothy, Norman, Ernest, Joseph and Gerald. Funeral services were conducted at the home on Tuesday morning at 10:30 o'clock by Reverend Walter K. Harnish. Interment was made in Eastlawn Cemetery Blair County, Tyrone, Pa.
