All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ _________________________________________ Mary Pearl (Bressler) Bonsell Mrs. Mary Pearl (Bressler) Bonsell, of 14 West 13th Street, died today at 5:50 a.m. at the Centre Community Hospital, State College. She had been in ailing health for the past year. She was born May 9, 1904, at Tyrone, a daughter of George and Clara (Kustenbauder) Bressler. On June 16, 1924, at Cumberland, Maryland, she was married to Luther Carl Bonsell. He died April 26, 1944. She is survived by one son, Donald E. Bonsell, of Stuart, Florida; four grandchildren, two brothers and two sisters, Mrs. Amber Cupp, Mrs. John (Margaret) Summers, Paul Bressler and Francis Bressler, all of Tyrone. One brother, James, preceded her in death. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, of the Hiltner Bible Class and the Chapel Volunteers of that church, the Golden Age Club, the American Association of Retired Persons, the Bald Eagle Grange and the auxiliaries to Howard Gardner American Legion Post 281, Neptune Fire Company and Tyrone YMCA. She retired in 1969 from the finishing room of the Tyrone plant of Westvaco following 25 years service. Since her retirement, she had been employed part time by the Tyrone Daily Herald. Funeral service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Feller Memorial Home, Tyrone, with the Reverend Fred O. Dickerson officiating. Interment will be at Eastlawn Cemetery, Tyrone. Friends will be received at the memorial home Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Tyrone Hospital or the Tyrone Snyder Public Library.
