Mrs. Bonsell was employed by the Pennsylvania Railroad during World War II. She was born Oct. 18, 1910, in Tyrone, the daughter of Laurie W. and Clara M. (Thompson) Rhoades, and Feb. 21, 1928, married Arthur Clair Bonsell, who died May 28, 1974. Surviving are seven children: Marian J. Nagle of Bellwood, Pa.; Phyllis M. Morrissey of Ironville, Tyrone RD; Joan L. White of Altoona; Carla J. Meeks of Mifflintown; Judy A. Russell, of Bridgeville, Del; Dale A. Bonsell of East Rochester, N. H. and Sharon S. Miller of Thomastown, Tyrone R.D.; 18 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren and a great, great, granddaughter. Also surviving are a sister and three brothers: Dorothy McClellan, Daniel and Laurie of Tyrone and George of Altoona. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by two sons, Eugene and Sheldon; five brothers: Robert, John, Arthur, James and Oscar; two sisters Alice and Donna; and a great granddaughter, April Claire Miller. Mrs. Bonsell was a member of the Tyrone Church of the Brethren. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Derman Funeral Home, Tyrone. Bonsell - Services for Phyllis H. Bonsell of Decker Hollow, Box 509, Tyrone, R.D. 3, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Derman Funeral Home, Inc., Tyrone, by the Rev. Fred Betzner. Internment at Blair Memorial Park, Bellwood.
