She was born March 23, 1912, in Duncansville, a daughter of the late John Austin and Mary Etta (Stom) Helsel. She married Fillmore Booher April 12, 1941. He preceded her in death in 1959. She was a member of the Duncansville Evangelical Lutheran Church. Mrs. Booher was employed with Armstrong Bottling for 24 years; she then retired after eight years with Kerr Glass Manufacturing, Lancaster. She returned to Duncansville after retirement. Mrs. Booher was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by seven sisters: Edith Steiner, Mabel Keith, Ora Piper, Mary Neely, Ethel Cogley, Elsie Teeter and Gladys Glass/Acker; and three brothers: Hayes, Luther and infant brother, Ralph. Surviving are numerous nieces and nephews, as well as a special nephew, Eugene Helsel of Watkinsville, Ga. At the request of the deceased, there will be no viewing. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 19, 2004, at Liebegott- Brown Funeral Home Inc., 1218 Fourth Ave., Duncansville, with Pastor Jaime Olson, officiating.
