Bookhamer, formerly of this city, died Saturday of a complication of diseases. He succumbed suddenly to heart disease. He was a native of Ormenia, this county, and was the son of Mr. and Mrs. James M. Bookhamer. He was born March 21st, 1865. His father, of this city, survives with two sisters, Elsie and Mary, both of Philadelphia; and three brothers, Jesse L., William, and David Gwinn, all of this city. Private funeral services will be held this evening at the home of his brother, J. L. Bookhamer, 224 Lexington avenue, in charge of Rev. D. D. Kauffman. Tomorrow morning the body will be taken on the 8.30 train to Martinsburg, for burial. Please omit flowers. Altoona Tribune, Monday, January 13, 1919, page 2
