(Pap) Boom, 75, died Saturday, Nov. 5, 2005 at his residence. He was born Oct. 28, 1930 in Westfield, the son of Ruth (Gardner) and Jerome William Boom. On July 21, 1951, he married Margaret R. (Kohler) Boom. He is survived by his wife and three sons: Bud I. Boom, Tyrone; Jerome (Joe) Boom, Osceola Mills; Bob O. Boom, Warriors Mark. He is also survived by five grandchildren: Kendra, Daniel, William, Kyle and Cheyenne; two brothers: Robert O. Boom, Middlebury Center and Kenneth G. Boom, Wellsboro. A sister preceded him in death. He was a decorated veteran of the Korean Conflict in the 2nd Infantry, Indianhead Division of the Army from 1949 to 1952. He retired from dairy farming in 1987 and then worked for Tyrone Milling from 1987 to 2002. He was a long time member of the NRA. He enjoyed spending time with family, working with cattle and horses. Friends will be received at the Bruce E. Cox Funeral Home, Warriors Mark on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Warriors Mark United Methodist Church until the time of the services at 2 p.m. at the church with P. Scott Mills officiating. Burial will be at the Spring Mount Cemetery.
