Mrs. Louisa Maria Boor, wife of Joseph W. Boor, died suddenly of neuralgia of 
the heart at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George S. Hershberger, in 
Martinsburg, on Wednesday morning at 3 o’clock.  For some years Mr. and Mrs. 
Boor had been making their home with her daughter Mrs. James B. Fluke in 
Altoona, except the time spent with others of their children in different parts 
of Blair and Bedford counties.  Her maiden name was Philson and she was born in 
Bedford county near New Buena Vista, Juniata township, nearly eight-three years 
ago.  June 2, 1853, she was united in marriage with Joseph W. Boor, then a 
resident of the same township.
Her husband, forty-two grandchildren and fifty-seven great grandchildren are 
living.  Her husband will be 84 years old before the end of this month.  One 
sister Mrs. Emmaline Wertz, of Pittsburgh, and George Philson, of Tipton, Ia.  
Mrs. Boor was a member of the Methodist church.
