Boscaino, age 55, of Golf Course Road, RR 3, Tyrone died Friday, April 6 2007 at the Altoona Regional Health System, Altoona Hospital Campus. He was born April 18, 1951 in Tyrone, the son of Francis A. and Rose Spanelli Boscaino. On September 10, 1977 at St. Matthew's Catholic Church he was married by Monsignor Richard Walsh to Mary Forcey who survives. Also surviving is one son Frank A. Boscaino of Sinking Valley and a daughter Toni and friend Timothy Beeman of Oakland, MD and a granddaughter Allison Rose Beeman. Also, surviving is a sister Diane, wife of Sheldon Decker of Tyrone and a number of aunts, uncles, and cousins. Dennis was a member of St. Matthew's Catholic Church where he served as an usher and trained youth altar servers. He was a long time faithful volunteer at St. Matthew's and was an organizer of the annual rodeo for St. Matthew School. He was a life member of the Citizens Fire Company and a member of St. Gregory Council Knights of Columbus. He was a graduate of Tyrone Area High School Class of 1969 and was employed as an operator at PennDOT with 21 years service and worked pat-time at Lasser's Shoe Fly in Altoona. He was the owner and operator of Boscaino's Roping Supplies. Dennis was an avid horseman and enjoyed team roping, especially with his daughter, and participating in Triple B Arena team roping in Berkley Springs W. VA and he enjoyed his legion of friends. Funeral Mass for Dennis F. Boscaino will be Tuesday, April 10, 2007 at 11 a.m. at St. Matthew's Catholic Church with Father Joseph T. Orr as celebrant. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the Richard H. Searer Funeral Home Inc. on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. There will be a wake service Monday night.
