The harvest of death has been an unusually large one during the winter, taking from us some of our best and most useful men. On Monday one week ago the family and friends laid away the remains of Father Bossler and to-morrow the remains of his son, Martin Bossler, will be laid away beside those of his father. Tuesday forenoon at 5 o'clock the soul of Martin took its sad flight, leaving the tenement of clay cold in death. He left his home in Woodbury township about eleven years ago, taking up his residence and engaging in business at Fort Worth, when he came home with the ravages of consumption fully developed, which was well known to Martin. He told friends he had come home to die. On Sunday he told them he would die on Monday or Tuesday. Oh, what comfort there is in the death of the righteous and of one who willingly makes a sacrifice to please his Maker. With this afflicted family we sympathize and extend to you our heartfelt sorrow, hoping that God in His mercy will give you grace sufficient to bear up under your affliction.
