Deceased was born March 3, 1861, and was, therefore, in his 33d year. He was a married man and leaves a wife and two children, both boys, to mourn the loss of a kind husband and father. He is also survived by his mother, now Mrs. David Douglass, two brothers, Charles and S. C., and two sisters, Mrs. Alexander Clapper and Tillie Bowen, all of this city. He was a member of the Second Lutheran church, having joined that congregation some two years ago. He also belonged to Cresson council, No. 108, Jr. O.U.A.M., and to Elmo castle, No. 54, Knights of the Golden Eagle, which organization will attend the funeral. The time of burial has been set for Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, the remains to be interred in Oak Ridge cemetery. Altoona Mirror, Altoona, Pa., Tuesday Evening, March 21, 1893
