Albert Bowers, died at her home on Penn street, Martinsburg, last evening at 6.20 o'clock, death being attributed to paralysis. Mrs. Bowers had been in her usual health until about 10 o'clock yesterday morning when she was suddenly stricken blind and this was followed by a stroke of paralysis, resulting in her death last evening. She was born at Curryville, April 7, 1875, the daughter of David and Elizabeth Shriver and was united in marriage with W. Albert Bowers in May, 1909. Mr. and Mrs. Bowers resided in East Freedom for a year after their marriage and then moved to Martinsburg where they resided ever since. Surviving are the husband and three sisters, Mrs. A. B. Miller and Mrs. Christ Rhodes, both of Curryville, and Mrs. Marshall Barr of Martinsburg R. D. No. 1. She was a member of the First Brethren church in Martinsburg, where the funeral services will be conducted Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock in charge of her pastor, Rev. James Cook.
