RALPH O. BOWERS

Of McKee, died unexpectedly at 11 o'clock Sunday morning at his home. 
He was born in Martinsburg Jan. 9, 1886, a son of Frank and Sarah 
(Bueltz) Bowers, and was married to Daisy Smith Oct. 5, 1910, at Brooks 
Mills by Justice of the Peace Elmer Sell. Surviving are his wife and 
three daughters and seven sons, Mrs. Bernice Hummel and Norma Leedy of 
Hollidaysburg, R.D., Glenn and Harry, at home, Charles of Roaring 
Spring, R.D., Melvin of New Enterprise and Floyd of East Freedom, R.D.; 
20 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Mary 
Butz of Lakemont and Mrs. Mildred Hetrick of Sinking valley. Mr. Bowers 
was a retired employe of the General Refractories company at Sproul. 
Friends are being received at the home.
