MRS. AMANDA BOYER

  Mrs. Amanda Boyer, widow of Penrose S. Boyer, who died October 30, died 
Wednesday night at her home, 311 Tenth street.  She had been blind and had been 
an invalid for five years, in critical condition for a month.
  Mrs. Boyer, was born April 19, 1858, at Liverpool, Juniata county, and had 
been a resident of Altoona for 34 years. She was a lifelong member of the 
United Brethren church, belonging to the First church in Altoona.
  Surviving are one son, Banks S. Boyer, Altoona, and one brother, Jacob D. 
Karstetter, Juniata county.
  Funeral service will be held in the First United Brethren church Thursday at 
2 p.m., the Rev. B. F. Bungard, D. D. officiating.  Interment will follow in 
Oak Ridge cemetery.
