Boytim, age 77, of 1813 Columbia Avenue, Tyrone died Friday, May 19, 2006 at 9:05 p.m. at Moran's Nursing Home, Bellwood. She was born April 6, 1929 in Tyrone, the daughter of Claude C. Sr. and Edna May Laird Lewis. On August 23, 1947 at the Columbia Avenue Methodist Church she was married to Paul S. Boytim who preceded her in death November 7, 2002. She is survived by seven children: Carol A. (John) Phillinger of Lansdale, D. Jeanne (Timothy) Frederick of Altoona, Jacquelyn L. (Fred) Brooks of Tyrone, Donald P. (Alvesta) Boytim of Tyrone, Ronald B. (Laura) Boytim of Horsham, Jeffery L. (Wendy) Boytim of Tyrone and Leeland A. Boytim of Kintnersville; 16 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Also surviving are the following sisters and brothers: Ellen (Steve) Cushion of Tyrone, Martha P. (Glen) DuBree of Tyrone, Patricia Arleen (Ray) Liddick of Bellwood, Carl R. Lewis of Spruce Creek, Claudia I. (Jack) Wilson of Petersburg, Claude C. (Donna) Lewis Jr. of Tyrone and Jane McClellan of Tipton. She was preceded in death by two infant brothers and an infant sister. Mrs. Boytim was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd. She was a graduate of Tyrone High School class of 1947. She was an active life member of the Bald Eagle Grange and Pomona Grange and had held several offices in both those organizations. She was a member of Howard Gardner Post No. 281 Auxiliary and of the Pontoon Club at Glendale State Park. She loved the outdoors, camping, wildlife and was a homemaker and a devoted wife and mother. Funeral service for Dorothy E. Boytim was held today at 11 a.m. at the Richard H. Searer Funeral Home, Inc. with Reverend Norman E. Huff officiating. Interment followed in Blair Memorial Park.
