He was born in Cambria County, March 8, 1856 and was married 40 years ago. He was employed as a carpenter with the Frugality Coal Company until his late illness. He is survived by his wife and the following children: Theodore of Lewistown; Mrs. Annie O'Brien of Cleveland, O., and Harry, Mary, Agnes and Marcella, Mrs. Rose Kearns, and Mrs. Emma Ammerman, all of this city; also by the following brothers and sister: Frank, George and Joseph, all of this city and Mrs. Mollie Seabolt of Lilly. He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church of this city and the Washington burial association. The funeral will be held Tuesday with mass at St. John's Church at 9 o'clock, followed by interment in Calvary Cemetery. Altoona Mirror, Altoona, Pa., Monday, February 25, 1918
