ELIAS BRANDT

Died at his home in Newberg at 4:20 o'clock yesterday morning of liver
trouble, after an illness of three weeks. He was born in Cambria
County, March 8, 1856 and was married 40 years ago.  He was employed
as a carpenter with the Frugality Coal Company until his late illness.
He is survived by his wife and the following children: Theodore of
Lewistown; Mrs. Annie O'Brien of Cleveland, O., and Harry, Mary, Agnes
and Marcella, Mrs. Rose Kearns, and Mrs. Emma Ammerman, all of this
city; also by the following brothers and sister: Frank, George and
Joseph, all of this city and Mrs. Mollie Seabolt of Lilly.  He was a
member of St. John's Catholic Church of this city and the Washington
burial association.  The funeral will be held Tuesday with mass at St.
John's Church at 9 o'clock, followed by interment in Calvary Cemetery.
