The deceased was a son of Mr. and Mrs. William Brandt and was born near St. Augustine, Cambria County, May 20, 1842. He was a carpenter by trade and had resided in this vicinity for the past thirty years. Mr. Brandt was twice married, his first wife being Clara Storm who preceded him to the grave twenty-two years ago. His second wife, who was Irene Burk, survives with the following children: William, Mary, Maggie and Edward, at home; and Mrs. William Bell of this city. His parents and these brothers and sisters also survive: Jacob S.; Joseph, George, Elias, and Frank and Mrs. John Wagner of this city; Michael of Uniontown; and Mrs. George Seabolt of Lilly. Mr. Brandt was a member of St. John's Catholic Church. The funeral will take place tomorrow morning at 9 o'clock; interment in St. John Cemetery. Altoona Mirror, Altoona, Pa., Monday, July 29, 1901
