Duane "Bucky" Branstetter, 83, of 2734 Short Drive, Tyrone, died Thursday morning, Nov. 4, 2004 at the Altoona Hospital. He was born January 31, 1921 in Centre Co. the son of Cooper and Rosella (Taylor) Branstetter. He was married June 16, 1944 at Riggles Gap, Pa to Alice Barley. He is survived by his wife; two sons, Terry Lee Branstetter and his wife Jane of Pennington Road, Tyrone and Joel D. Branstetter and his wife Kathy of Pennington Road, Tyrone; five grandsons; eight great- grandchildren and a son-in-law, Russell "Ken" Harpster of Ridge Road, Tyrone. He was preceded in death by a daughter Ellen Kay Harpster and sisters Imogene Halterman and Donna Christofic. He was a member of the Warriors Mark United Methodist Church and a charter member of the Warriors Mark Fire Co. He was a graduate of Warriors Mark High School in 1940. He was a retired dairy farmer and enjoyed flowers and woodworking. Funeral service will be held Saturday, Nov. 6, 2004 at 11 a.m. at the Derman Funeral Home, Inc., Tyrone, with Rev. Peggy Bonsell officiating. Interment will be at Logan Valley Cemetery, Bellwood. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6 - 9 p.m. and one hour before the service on Saturday.
