She had been quite unwell for the past five weeks, and on Saturday last at about the noon hour she was stricken with paralysis, and since that time had been lying in a semi-conscious condition, seeming to recognize her friends and acquaintances at her bedside, but unable to speak. She was aged 63 years in March last. Born in Dauphin county, deceased removed with her parents to Warriorsmark township, Huntingdon county, in the year 1838, when she was a mere child, where all of her life was spent from that time on till the year 1886, when with her brother David she removed to Tyrone where the last ten years of her life had been spent. Her father, Abraham Branstetter, died in 1854, and her mother, Rosanna Graby Branstetter died in 1860. After the death of her mother the subject of this article took charge of the household affairs of the home and has since that time kept house for her brother David. In her household duties she was always faithful, and ever proved a kind and helpful sister to a brother who in turn always looked after her comfort, and who will sadly miss her from his home after being almost constantly in her presence from early childhood. Besides the one brother, two sisters survive, viz; Mrs. Joseph Mingle, of Tyrone, and Mrs. Daniel Eyer, of Warriorsmark township. Deceased was member of the United Brethren church from early life, and was a true christian woman. She was a kind neighbor, and a sympathizing and helpful friend in times of sickness or distress, and those to whom she could minister were never without the service she was able to render. The funeral occurred on Monday. Services were conducted at the United Brethren church by her pastor, Rev. J. Medsgar, at 10 o'clock a.m., after which interment was made at Tyrone cemetery.
