Brantner, age 75, 524 Park Avenue, Tyrone, formerly of Williamsburg, died at 11:37 a.m. Wednesday, January 29, 2003 at the Tyrone Hospital. She was born March 26, 1927 at Pemberton, Huntingdon County, the daughter of Samuel and Josephine (Delich) Seiner. She was married August 11, 1943 at Huntingdon, Pa. to George K. Brantner, who died September 14, 1980. She is survived by two sisters, Elizabeth Smith of Columbus, Ohio and Frances Carper of Tyrone. She is also survived by eight nieces, Liz Leach of Tyrone, Josie Westorn of Tyrone, Kathy Branstetter of Warriors Mark, Stella Gray of Provo Ala., Glayds Guhan of Saxton, Denise Haney of Williamsburg, Denise Nevling of Altoona, and Diane Miller of Huntingdon; and five nephews, Duane Seiner of Tyrone, Charles Marvich of Provo, Utah, Steven Marvich of Waynesboro, Jim Seiner of New York and Jim Carper of Texas. There are several other nieces and nephews with addresses unknown. She had a favorite great great niece, Alexandra Clingerman. She was preceded in death by six brothers. She was a member of the Tyrone Grace Baptist Chirch where she was adored by her church family and was affectonately called 'Aunt Helen'. She was a former member of the Church of God in Williamsburg, and the Willing Workers Sunday School Class and was a former Sunday School teacher there for 30 years. She had various pet dogs for most of her life with the most recent her adored Poodle "Pearl". She was formerly employed as a Geriatric Aide at Garvey Manor Nursing Home in Hollidaysburg. Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 2, 2003 at 2 p.m. at the Grace Baptist Church, Tyrone, with Pastor Roy Garthwaite officiating. Interment will be at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery in Altoona. Friends will be received at the Derman Funeral Home, Tyrone on Saturday from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Grace Baptist Church Building Fund, 1553 Columbia Avenue, Tyrone, Pa. 16686.
