Charles Brickhart, orderly, machinist and all around handy man at the Mercy hospital, died this morning at 12.35 o'clock, death being caused by pneumonia following an attack of influenza, after a short illness. He was aged 35 years and before coming to the Mercy hospital three years ago, resided in Martinsburg. Little is known at the institution about the man's family, he being a stranger in the city. He was a faithful worker and a trusted employe of the institution, whose place will be hard to fill. Altoona Times, Altoona, Pa., Monday Morning, November 11, 1918 FUNERAL NOTICES The remains of Charles Brickhart can be viewed in rest room No. 3, Steven's mortuary until Thursday morning when the body will be taken to Martinsburg, on the train that leaves Altoona at 8.35, and funeral services will be conducted at that place.
