He was born at Tyrone on October 10, 1923, to Guy B. and Amber (McCoy) Brisbin and was married to Guinevere Stonebraker of Tyrone on March 22, 1951, at the Columbia Avenue Methodist Church by the Reverend Dennis Smith. A Wabash resident for 22 years, Mr. Brisbin was of the Methodist faith. He retired after many years of employment in the telephone industry; was a World War II veteran and a member of the 352nd Fighter Squadron; a charter and lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 4559, Tyrone; member of the Tyrone Elks Lodge No. 212; and a member of the Independent Telephone Pioneer Association. Surviving are his wife, two sons: Rodney McCoy Brisbin of Wabash, Indiana and Sidney Paul Brisbin of Monticello, Indiana, three grandchildren: Stephanie Marie Brisbin of Monticello; Matthew McCoy James Brisbin and Ashley Kay Brisbin both of Wabash, Indiana; a brother, Francis B. Brisbin and a nephew, Lawrence James Brisbin, both of Tyrone. A brother and a sister preceded him in death.
