Brisbin ENGINEER DIES AS RESULT OF HEART ATTACK ON TRAIN Samuel S. Brisbin of Tyrone, widely known freight engineer on the Middle Division of the Pennsylvania Railroad, died unexpectedly of a heart attack yesterday as he was piloting his engine through Huntingdon. His death occurred at 5:30 o'clock last evening. Brisbin's home is at 323 Twenty-First Street, Tyrone. A Huntingdon physician was summoned immediately after Brisbin was stricken, but death had ensued before he could reach the scene. Coroner E. Blair Shore directed the body be turned over to Brown's, Huntingdon undertakers. Later, in the evening Harry N. Glass, Tyrone undertaker, came to Huntingdon for the body. Brisbin was piloting the lead engine of a double-header, and before he left Altoona for his trip east in the afternoon, he complained of not feeling too well, the result of indigestion. I. R. Park, R. D. 2, Tyrone, Brisbin's fireman, told Coroner Shore that a stop was made at "Deer" tower for instructions, and that when Brisbin returned he stated he felt like "stopping off" on account of illness. After climbing onto his engine and seating himself in the engineer's cab, the double-header started out slowly. Park who was directly opposite his engineer in the fireman's cab, next saw Brisbin with his head hanging over the brake-valve. Park immediately stopped the engine and called to the crew of the second engine for assistance. The Huntingdon physician was summoned and the engines continued to the P.R.R. station, where Brisbin was taken off. He had passed away as the train pulled into the station.
