Brophy, residing on Eleventh avenue, had the misfortune on Sunday last, to break his leg above the knee. Since the little unfortunate was eighteen months old he has been suffering constantly and at times terribly with a nervous derangement that has racked both body and mind, and quite recently has grown worse, being subject to spasms. On the day mentioned, while suffering from a spasm, the mother of the child attempted to lift him from his little crib, and in the writhing and twisting consequent upon the convulsion the distressing accident as above stated occurred. The parents of the unfortunate child have the sympathy of the community in their sad affliction. P.S. The child died last evening at half-past nine o'clock.
