MRS. STELLA M. BROPHY

Of Carrolltown, died Thursday in Mercy Hospital, Johnstown.  She was born at 
Hollidaysburg, June 3, 1874, a daughter of James and Mary (Schlick) Quinn, and 
married Francis J. Brophy, who died in 1929.  Mrs. Brophy was a member of St. 
Benedict's Catholic Church, Altar and Rosary Society, Carrolltown, and the 
Altoona Chapter ICBU.  Surviving are the following children:  Mrs. Leo Wirtner 
of Philadelphia, Col. Francis Brophy of Alexandria, Va.; David L. of Madison, 
N.J., John A. of Drexel, Richard G. of Bayside, L.I., N.Y., and Timothy J. and 
Millburg, both at home; one brother, Francis X. of Altoona; 13 grandchildren and 
one great-grandchild.  Friends will be received at the home.
