MRS. JULIA C. BROWAND.

Funeral service over the remains of the late Mrs. Julia A. Browand
will be held in the First Methodist Episcopal church of Juniata
tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock.  The services will be conducted by
the Rev. Chas. W. Wasson, for several years past pastor of the
deceased lady and who delays removal to his new ministerial charge in
Philipsburg to deliver a funeral sermon over the earthly body of this
faithful servant of the Lord.  Mrs. Browand was in her 38th year,
having been born on August 16, 1877, and was a native of Campville,
Huntingdon county.  She is survived by her husband, H. S. Browand, and
five children: Paul, William, Earl, Venetta and Madeline, all at home.
Also by her mother, Mrs. J. C. Parks, in whose home at 322 Fifth
avenue Mrs. Browand died early yesterday morning, and by four sisters
and five brothers: Mrs. Alice Mayhue, Miss Fannie Parks, Fred and
Scott Parks, all of Juniata; Mrs. C. L. Goodling, of State College;
Mrs. Frank Lane and Jessie Parks, of this city; C. M. and W. R. Parks,
of Pinecroft.  Mr. and Mrs. Browand made their home in the residence
the husband still occupies at 1105 Fifth avenue, Juniata, until last
fall when the wife entered the new tuberculosis sanitarium at Hamburg.
Since then her health continued to fail and less than two weeks ago
she was brought to her mother's home to face the inevitable end.  Mrs.
Browand was a true Christian woman and one whose fine character
commanded the highest admiration and esteem.
