Holliday Brown, aged 24 years, He was a member of the Presbyterian church, and had been a student at Lincoln University for four years, preparing to enter the Christian Ministry. His leading desire was to go as a missionary to his own race in Africa. He spent two vacations in teaching freed men in Virginia, and was much respected by white and colored among whom he lived. His health failing, he came home to die among his friends, sweetly realizing and triumphantly proclaiming to those around him, the power and sustaining grace which faith in our blessed Lord and Savior alone can give.
