DANIEL S. BROWN,

An old and respected citizen of Morrison's Cove, died at 1 o'clock Wednesday 
morning at his home, one mile south of Martinsburg, from diseases incident 
to old age.  Mr. Brown was born in South Woodbury township, Bedford county, 
in June, 1819, and came to Blair county in 1853, settling upon the farm on 
which he died.  He was the father of eleven children - six sons and five 
daughters - all of whom have grown to manhood and womanhood.  A short time 
ago his wife preceded him to the grave, being the first of the family to 
die.  Funeral services will be held tomorrow morning at St. Matthew's 
Evangelical Lutheran church, of which he was a member all his life, and will 
be conducted by Rev. E. Dutt, a former pastor.
