John Brown, a man aged 43 years, admitted to the hospital several weeks ago, died yesterday of a complication of diseases. When admitted he was suffering from consumption and his sufferings from the disease were intense at times. There was some prospect of his condition being bettered and were considered good until about a week ago when he was attacked to erysipelas and this, with the original disease, caused his death. The body was given in charge of Undertaker Arthur, who prepared it for burial, but when the funeral will take place is definitely not known. Morning Tribune, Altoona, Pa., Saturday, November 22, 1890
