Mrs. Sarah Florence Brumbaugh, wife of Moses R. Brumbaugh, died at the family home in Martinsburg on Tuesday night at 10.30 o'clock, following a long illness from a complication of diseases. Mrs. Brumbaugh was the daughter of James R. and Susan Stuart and was born near Williamsburg July 24, 1868. She was united in married with Moses R. Brumbaugh Nov. 13, 1890. Nine children were born to the union, seven living. Those surviving are: Albert, employed in the railroad offices in this city; Ross, in training at Camp Lee, Virginia; David Emmert, formerly cashier of the First National bank at Claysburg but now in the field artillery of the 89th division in France; Marie, a student at Juniata college, Huntingdon, and Irene, Agnes and Harry, at home. The two who preceded her to the grave were William Elvin and Robert Leslie. Besides the children and husband, the deceased is survived by her mother, Mrs. Susan Stuart, who lived at the Brumbaugh home, and two brothers, George F. Stuart of Washington, D.C., and James of Harrisburg, and one sister, Mrs. Minnie Stoudnour of Juniata. Mrs. Brumbaugh was a member of the Lutheran church. Brumbaugh of Martinsburg will be held Saturday morning, leaving the house immediately after arrival of the morning train at 9.40.
