MRS. BARBARA BUCHHERT,

Wife of P. Buchhert, died at her residence, 1319 First avenue, at 10.30 
o'clock last night, after a four weeks' illness from dropsy. She was 
born in Germany, Feb. [unreadable], being aged 48 years. She came to 
Altoona twenty-nine years ago. She was married twice: first to John 
Detemple at Altoona, who preceded her to the grave eleven years ago, 
leaving one child by the union, Mary Detemple. She again was wedded, in 
1906, to P. Buchhert of this city. She was a member of St. Mary's 
Catholic church. Surviving are her husband and these stepchildren, 
together with the daughter of the first union: Mrs. J. Fraunhofer, Mrs. 
D. Conrad and Mrs. Carl Hell all of Altoona. She also leaves the 
following brothers and sisters: Peter Wolf, Adolph Wolf, John Wolf, 
Mrs. Mary Porter, Mrs. Elizabeth Helsel and Mrs. Katherine Porter, all 
of Altoona and Mrs. Margaret Campbell of Detroit, Mich.
