Mrs. Hannah Harper Budd died at her home on East Seventeenth street Wednesday evening at 9:30 o'clock, after having been a sufferer from diabetes for the past four years. Mrs. Budd was born at Beaver Mills, Pa., January 8, 1856, and was the daughter of the late John and Sarah Shannon. On June 16, 1879, she was united in marriage with Harry L. Budd, who with the following children survive to mourn their loss: H. C. Budd, Mrs. Harry R. Gates, Harper Budd, Franklin Budd, and Sarah Budd, all of Tyrone. She is also survived by the following brothers and sisters: James Shannon, of McKeesport; Charles Shannon, of Burnham; Mrs. James I. Ginter, of Tyrone, Mrs. John Villinger, of Williamsport, and Mrs. Charles Baker, of Steubenville, O. Deceased was a member of the Columbia Avenue Methodist church, a teacher in the Sunday school and a member of the Ladies' Aid society. She will be missed in this community, in which she had spent the greater part of her life. She was a loving mother, a kind neighbor and a good citizen. Funeral services will be held in the Columbia Avenue Methodist church on Saturday afternoon at 2:30, conducted by the Rev. John Beard. Interment will be made in Grand View cemetery.
