All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ _________________________________________ ENGELBERT BUECHELE, An old and well-known resident of this city, died this morning at 11:15 o'clock at his home, 2106 Twentieth avenue, of pneumonia and brain fever, after an illness of less than two weeks. Deceased was born in Baden, Germany, in 1845, and with his brother, Andrew, came to this country in 1871 and located in Altoona. He was a soap manufacturer by trade and followed that vocation in this city. He was married to Mary Strittmaier in 1874. Besides his wife he is survived by the following children: Mrs. Fred Wise, of Philadelphia; Frances A., of Pittsburg; Elizabeth A., Magdalene M., Rose P., Elphonso I., Antionette F., Elizabeth A., Pauline W., and Leo J., all at home. He is also survived by one brother and one sister, Andrew and Applona, of this city. He was a member of St. John's Catholic church, where funeral services will be conducted on Thursday morning at 9 o'clock. Interment will be made in St. Mary's cemetery.
