A. N. BURD.

  Word has been received telling of the death of A. N. Burd, of 
Newport, Pa., father of Prof. W. H. Burd, of this city.  He died of 
paralysis on Saturday, aged 73 years.  His wife died ten years ago.  
Surviving are four children, Ann and S. W., of Newport; Edward H., of 
Huntingdon, and W. H., of this city.  Services will be conducted at the 
late home at 10.30 o'clock tomorrow morning, followed by interment in 
the Newport cemetery.

school teacher, in the 1920 Altoona, Blair County census.
