Mrs. Teresa Burger, widow of Jacob Burger, died yesterday morning at 6:30 o'clock, at her home, 501 Garber street, of a complication of ills incident to old age. Mrs. Burger was a daughter of John Rock, deceased of Hollidaysburg, and was born here July 7, 1842, thus was in her 77th year. She resided in Hollidaysburg all her life, having lived over fifty years in the house in which she died. She was a faithful member of St. Michael's church, with which she became affiliated many years ago, and was ever a good, Christian, woman, who paid the closest attention to her home duties. Her vegetable garden was always one of the best in town, as she was an expert gardener, and took a just pride in it, and she was also much interested in raising chickens, in which she was most successful. She is survived by five sons and three daughters, as follows: George Burger, of South Fork; John, William, Frank and Charles, Mrs. John Porter and Mrs. Michael McGuire, all of Hollidaysburg; also by 31 grandchildren and 47 great-grandchildren. Her husband preceded her to the grave twenty-seven years ago. The funeral services will be held on Friday morning at 9 o'clock, at St. Michael's church, with high requiem mass, and interment will be made in St. Mary's cemetery.
