The deceased was the son of Adam and Catherine Bulger Burget and was born in North Woodbury township, near Henrietta, July 13th, 1841. He was united in marriage with Mary Ann Smith October 20, 1864, at Martinsburg. Mr. Burget was a lifelong resident of North Woodbury township. He grew to manhood upon his father's farm, near Henrietta, and at the time of his marriage to the helpmeet who was to be the sharer of his joys and sorrows through a period of fifty-four years, they took up farming on the adjoining farm where they resided for many years. About seven years ago they moved to the present home. Deceased early in life united with the Mt. Pleasant Reformed church of which he was a member at the time of his death. He was a man of unassuming disposition, devoted to his home and family life. He was industrious and content to attend to the affairs of his everyday life. Mr. Burget was esteemed and respected by the people of the community in which he spent his life, and lived at peace with all men.
