FLORA (RITCHEY) BURK Widow of Henry Burk and residing at 3316 Sixth Avenue, died suddenly last night after having been taken ill while attending church services, her death taking place as she was being removed to the Mercy hospital at 10:35 o'clock. The deceased was born at Blue Knob on Nov. 22, 1892, a daughter of William and Mary (Conrad) Ritchey. Surviving are a daughter, Evelyn, and these brothers and sisters: John E. and Oliver M. Ritchey, both of this city; Lewis E. Ritchey of Claysburg, Mrs. Gertrude Riley of Philadelphia, Mrs. Lucy Covender of Artemas, PA, and William H. of Claysburg, R.D. Mrs. Burk was a member of the Simpson Methodist church and of class No. 23 of the church school. She had been attending services in the Calvary Baptist church and was taken ill after leaving there last evening. Mrs. Burk had been employed at the Keith Junior High school since it was opened. Friends are being received at the home after 6 o'clock this evening. BURK - Funeral services for Mrs. Flora (Ritchey) Burk, of 3316 Sixth avenue will be conducted by Rev. Ralph Stoll at the Calvary Baptist church Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment in Carson Valley cemetery. Friends are being received at the home. Altoona Mirror, October 4, 1939
