He was a son of the late Lewis Burk and Mrs. Sarah (Ritchey) Burk and was born near Queen, Bedford county, Dec. 23, 1880, but most of his life was spent on a farm in Freedom township and in East Freedom. Surviving are his mother and one brother, John Burk of Johnstown, and two sisters, Mrs. Elsie Dodson of Claysburg, R.D., and Mrs. Bertha Huston of East Freedom. Mr. Burk was a member of the United Brethren church. Friends will be received at the home after 6 o'clock Wednesday evening.
