BURK Well known resident of Duncansville, died at his home, 1119 Third avenue, last night at 9.45 o'clock, death being attributed to a complication of ailments after an illness extending over a period of two years. He was a son of Lewis and Sarah Ritchey Burk and was born on Jan. 12, 1901. He was united in marriage in 1921 with Ruth Carnill, who survives, with these children: Howard, jr., Carral and Donna, all at home, and by his mother, residing in East Freedom, and these brothers and sisters: Mrs. John Finnegan of Imler, John Burk of Johnstown, George Burk and Mrs. Chester Huston of East Freedom and Mrs. Charles Dodson of Claysburg. Mr. Burk was a member of the East Freedom United Brethren church of which he had been a class leader for a number of years. He was employed by the Pennsylvania Railroad company as a machinist in the Twelfth street frame shop in this city. Friends are being received at the home. BURK - Funeral services for Howard C. Burk will be conducted in the Hicks Memorial Methodist church in Duncansville Saturday afternoon at 2.30 o'clock in charge of Rev. M. L. Wilt, pastor of the United Brethren church. Interment will be made in the Greenlawn cemetery at Roaring Spring. Friends may view the body at the home at 1119 Third avenue, Duncansville.
