All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ _________________________________________ ELIAS BURKET DIES AT HIS HOME IN HENRIETTA, BLAIR COUNTY At 12.20 o'clock yesterday afternoon Elias Burket died at the Mineral Spring hotel, at Henrietta, of which he was proprietor, after an illness of two months. His death, however, was sudden. He was 66 years of age and is survived by his wife, two sons and four daughters, F. S. and Elinor being residents of this city. The deceased was a member of company E, Eighty-fourth Pennsylvania volunteers. He was seriously wounded at the battle of Chancellorsville, and from the effects he never fully recovered. He was a member of the Church of God at Henrietta, an honest, upright, Christian man and held in high esteem by the community in which he spent the greater part of his life. The funeral will take place Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock, services being held in the bethel at Henrietta. Interment in the Henrietta cemetery. Morning Tribune, Tuesday, December 5, 1899
