Burket of Martinsburg, R.F.D., died at her home Sunday morning at 3.30 o'clock of cerebral hemorrhages following an illness since Saturday evening before which she was able to be about, although not in good health for some time. Mrs. Burket, a daughter of Thaddeus and Elizabeth Dively Walter, both deceased, was born at Claysburg, R.F.D., on Jan. 22, 1876, where she attended school and grew to womanhood. She was united in marriage with Howard W. Burket of Claysburg on May 13, 1896. They took up housekeeping in that vicinity and about eleven years ago moved to the farm in the cove. Four children were born to this union, Alfred of Tulsa, Okla., Laura of York, Mrs. Paul Lingenfelter of Hollidaysburg and Paul, at home, also five grandchildren survive, with the husband. One sister, Mrs. Laura Shaefer of Juniata, also survives. She was a member of the Christ Reformed church at Roaring Spring for a number of years. She was also a member of the Christ Reformed Sunday school and a member of the U.S.W.A. Funeral services will be conducted in the Roaring Spring Reformed church Wednesday afternoon at 2.30 o'clock in charge of Rev. C. Earl Gardner. Interment will be made in the Holsinger cemetery near Bakers Summit. Altoona Mirror, Altoona, Pa., Monday, May 7, 1934
