In Tipton, Blair Co., on Monday morning, Feb. 10th, '68, at the residence of M. G. McCleland, Samuel Burket, aged seventy-seven years. He served in the war of 1812. He took an active part in the Temperance movement in Antis Township, when temperance was publicly advocated. He also was a very consistent member of the Lutheran church, declaring plainly that he was seeking a home beyond the Jordon of death, unto which we have no doubt he attained by faith in the Redeemer.
