"Tom" Burket, age 55, of RD 3, Tyrone Pike, Tyrone died Friday, February 9, 2007 at 2:45 p.m. at his residence. He was born April 18, 1951 in Philipsburg, the son of Howard J. and Joyce Hammond Burket. He is survived by his mother, two sisters Cindy, wife of Tom Mills of Julian, JoeAnn Ruffner of New Oxford, PA, two nieces Wendy Remrick and Shelly Wilzer and a nephew Cord Ruffner and nine great nieces and nephews. His father preceded him in death in 1970. He was a graduate of Tyrone Area High School, class of 1970. He was retired on disability in 1996 from Nittany Envelope as a forklift operator and had formerly worked at Procter Silex. He was a member of First Assembly of God Church of Tyrone. The pride and joy of his life was his 1954 Chevy. Funeral service for Mr. Burket will be held Tuesday, February 13, 2007 at 11 a.m. at the Richard H. Searer Funeral Home Inc. with Pastor William Glunt officiating. Interment will be in Blair Memorial Park. Friends may call at the Funeral Home on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the hour of the service.
