MYRTLE L. BURKETT

Of 1702 1st Ave., died at 6.15 a.m. today, June 16, 1972, in Altoona Hospital 
after a brief illness.  She was born in Queen, Bedford County, Sept. 6, 1880, a 
daughter of Andrew and Mary (Myers) Claar, and married W. A. Burkett, who died 
March 2, 1916.  Surviving are three children, William E., Mrs. Mary E. Cough of 
Altoona and Charles L. of Alexandria; six grandchildren, nine great-
grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.  Mrs. Burkett was a member of 
the Grace United Church of Christ.  Friends will be received in the Bigelow 
Funeral Home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
