Death of an Old Citizen.

John J. Burkholder, a farmer residing in Antis township, died at his
home at 5.15 Friday evening aged 77 years.  He was a native of Bedford
county, but had been a resident of Antis township for over thirty
years and had an extensive circle of acquaintances throughout this and
adjoining counties.  His venerable wife survives him, as also several
children, Perry, who resides in Antis township, Henry, Lloyd, and
Thomas, whose residence is in Logan township, Mrs. Norville Hawk, of
the same township, Mrs. James Funk, of Philadelphia, and Margaret, who
also resides in Philadelphia, and is married to a gentleman whose name
we are unable to recall.  The funeral took place from the residence of
the deceased on Sunday morning at 10 o'clock.  Interment in the Antis
graveyard.
