Laban Victor Burkholder, son of Thomas J. and Minerva (deceased) Burkholder, formerly of Juniata, died at the home of his brother, J. Lester Burkholder, at Canoe Creek, Monday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock, of a complication of diseases. Deceased was born in 1879 and was aged 39 years. He leaves to mourn his departure his father and stepmother, of Youngstown, O.; his wife and son Kenneth, of Buffalo, N.Y., the following brothers: John Lester, of Canoe Cree; Doss Miles, of Youngstown, O.; Paul, of St. Louis, Mo., and one sister, Lydia, of Youngstown, O. Also the following half-brothers and sisters: Plummer, of Chicago, and Agnes, Amelia and Sarah, of Youngstown, O. The funeral services will be held in the Juniata Methodist Episcopal church, conducted by Rev. E. E. Harter, of Hollidaysburg, on Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, after which the body will be interred in the Antis township cemetery, near Pine Croft.
