At fifteen minutes after four o'clock last evening little Aida, daughter of Emma Burley, and granddaughter of C. R. Burley, died at the home of her grand-parents on Lincoln avenue, having been sick only since Sunday evening. Aida would have been four years of age had she lived until July next, and was a bright, attractive child whose winsome smile and joyous laughter will be much missed around the family hearthstone. Scarlet fever was the disease which ended her young life and robbed the home of one of the brightest attractions. Friends met at the house at half-past three o'clock this afternoon and the funeral took place at four. Interment in Tyrone cemetery. Tyrone Daily Herald, Tyrone, Pa., Thursday, May 5, 1887, page 12
