Burley, widow of John L. Burley, for many years a Pennsylvania Railroad company shop foreman, and one of the oldest and esteemed residents, died at her home, 803 Howard avenue, Altoona, at 4.30 o'clock Sunday afternoon, of diseases incident to old age. She had been in failing health and ailing for the past eleven years. Deceased was born May 20, 1831, and had resided the greater part of her life in that city. She went to her husband almost a half century ago. She was a member of the First Methodist Episcopal church and is survived by six children: Florence, Harry, Charles and Ella, of Altoona; Guy S., of Tyrone and Mrs. S. G. Williamson, of Lock Haven. The funeral was strictly private, services were conducted at 3.30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, followed with interment in Fairview cemetery. Burley, died at her home, 803 Howard avenue, yesterday afternoon, at 4 o'clock, after an illness of eleven years. She was born in Philadelphia, May 20, 1831. She is survived by six children, Florence, Harry, Charles and Ella, of this city; Guy S. of Lycine, and Mrs. S. G. Williamson, of Lock Haven. Both services and funeral will be private and will be held Tuesday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock. Interment will be made in the Fairview cemetery.
