BURLEY Of 320 Cherry Av., died at 2:40 p.m. Saturday in the Altoona Hospital, where he was admitted Friday, after an extended illness. He was born in Altoona May 11, 1892, a son of Jacob R. and Anna (Kelly) Burley, and was thrice married, first to marry M. Deeter, who died Dec. 24, 1926; to Mabel Royer, who died June 3, 1960, and last September to Lavena Conion [Conlon?]. Surviving are his wife, three children, Alvin and Mrs. Harriet Simonis [Simons?] of the city and Mrs. Elda M. Wythe of Elkton, Md.; three grandchildren, three sisters and a brother, Mrs. Bertha Robeson, Mrs. Alice Trueblood and Mrs. Bess Hudson of Hollidaysburg and Daniel E. of the city. He was a member of the First E.U.B. Church for more than 50 years and a member of the Men's Bible Class, a life member of Mountain Lodge, F&AM, and a member of the Blair County Rod and Gun Club, and retired as a gang foreman from the P.R.R. car shops.
